ADDYed a Few New Awards Around the Office

Local agency honored as American Advertising Award winner

The Karcher Group (TKG), a full-service marketing agency, received two awards in the 2019 American Advertising Awards, a competition conducted by the American Advertising Federation – Akron (AAF – Akron).

Commonly known as the ADDYs, the event recognizes the creative spirit of excellence in the art of advertising. TKG received awards at the district level, which included entries from Akron, Canton and surrounding areas, and are now eligible to compete at the national level.

TKG received a gold award in the category of Public Service Online/Interactive Website for its work on StarkHelpCentral.com. Working alongside Stark County Mental Health & Addiction Recovery (StarkMHAR), the team created a brand identity and a responsive, user-friendly web experience to resonate with Stark County teens, teachers, parents and caseworkers. TKG’s leadership in building this digital platform is helping to connect young people with useful community resources.

“It has been a real pleasure working with the folks at The Karcher Group. They are incredibly responsive and always come to us with new, creative ideas. Whenever we’re up against a challenge, they are quick with advice and solutions. We’re proud to have a digital partner we can trust,” said Donna Edwards, Program Administrator for StarkMHAR.

TKG also won a silver award in the same category for its work on the United Way of Greater Stark County website. The work on United Way of Greater Stark County’s website included more than an updated web experience. The Karcher Group crafted new messaging to help tell the United Way story, developed a multi-channel marketing strategy to get them noticed online and built their new website to roll out their updated digital identity.

"Geoff Karcher and his team are true professionals and among some of the hardest working, most creative people I know. They know their industry inside and out and deliver consistently great work for us on the web,” explained Maria Heege, President and CEO of United Way of Greater Stark County.
