One Powerful Development Team in the Making

Senior team members take on new positions and new members join team to better serve clients

NORTH CANTON, Ohio, (March 25, 2019) —The Karcher Group (TKG), a digital marketing agency based in North Canton, announced today the joining of its front-end and programming resources into one powerful development team. For more than 21 years, TKG has served as the area’s premier web development shop. This alignment of resources will help create more opportunities for the agency’s developers to collaborate, learn from each other and continue to advance their skills.

Leading the team as vice president of development is longtime TKG employee, James Golden. Golden has been with the company for more than 20 years, serving in various leadership roles. In his new position, James is accountable for defining the user experience, the information architecture and the graphic design of client websites.

Programmer Nic Lubbers has accepted a promotion to senior web application developer. Lubbers joined the agency’s development team in 2011. In his new role, Lubbers will support Golden in efforts to standardize the company’s development processes and provide guidance for other members of the team.

“We have a renewed commitment to our development capabilities because we believe it’s the next step in doing great work for our clients,” said Geoff Karcher, president. “TKG should be setting the standard for web development and design. Aligning our development resources under the leadership of James and Nic will help us get there.”

In addition to aligning its development team, TKG has brought on additional talent with the hiring of two new Front-End Developers.

Brandon Triplett joins TKG as a Junior Front End Developer. He worked to obtain his Full Stack Development certificate and is now eager to put his education to good use.

“I have a passion for creating wonderful, user-friendly websites, and my satisfaction comes from knowing that I had a hand in making something great for clients,” said Triplett.

Having received his first computer at a young age, new employee Michael Pullins has been crafting his skills in development for years. He attended Stark State College for development and now continues his education through blog posts and other educational services.

“I’m excited to be a part of an organization that values teamwork and continued learning. My time at TKG has already taught me so much and I’m excited to create great work for our clients,” shared Pullins.

“Over the coming months, stay tuned for more updates on building improvements, new hires and business developments,” said Patrick Willoughby, senior vice president. “We have a lot of great opportunities on the horizon. The alignment of our development team is just the beginning.”
