Business Development.

About this position

We’re looking for a Sales Executive with a true hunter mentality—someone driven to uncover and close new business opportunities. This position is focused on acquiring new clients, specifically family-owned, market-leading mid-market companies.

In this role, you'll proactively identify, engage and convert prospects that align with TKG’s digital marketing and consulting offerings. Success requires a consultative, value-based sales approach, grounded in the Sandler Sales methodology. You’ll follow a structured sales process designed to build trust, uncover business challenges and deliver strategic, results-driven solutions.

As a Sales Executive, you'll play a critical role in fueling TKG’s growth by forging meaningful new partnerships. You’ll be supported by a collaborative team and a clearly defined sales framework that sets you up for success. If you're passionate about hunting for new opportunities, following a proven process and closing impactful deals—this role is made for you.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • New Client Prospecting

    • Identify and research businesses that align with TKG’s ideal client profile—primarily family-owned, market-leading companies with $30M–$500M in revenue.

    • Build a strong pipeline through a mix of cold outreach, networking, referrals and inbound lead follow-up.

  • Consultative Selling & Qualification

    • Engage prospects using Sandler Sales methodology, taking a consultative approach to understand their goals, pain points and decision-making processes.

    • Lead structured discovery conversations that establish trust and effectively qualify opportunities based on need, fit and priority.

  • Tailored Solution Presentation

    • Craft and deliver personalized proposals and presentations that clearly communicate the value of TKG’s digital marketing, web and IT solutions.

    • Emphasize ROI, strategic impact and measurable outcomes to position TKG as the preferred partner for sustainable growth.

  • Pipeline & CRM Management

    • Own the full sales cycle—from first contact to closed deal.

    • Maintain meticulous records of all sales activities, opportunities and communications in HubSpot CRM to ensure accurate forecasting and visibility.

    • Consistently follow up and nurture leads according to the defined sales process.

  • Closing & Client Handoff

    • Manage negotiations and objections with professionalism and a win-win mindset.

    • Close deals at or above revenue targets, maintaining a high-integrity, value-driven approach.

    • Facilitate a smooth transition to the account management and delivery teams by clearly communicating client needs and expectations.

  • Cross-Team Collaboration

    • Work closely with TKG’s marketing team to provide feedback on lead quality and messaging, and with strategy and delivery teams to ensure proposals are both compelling and executable.

    • Contribute to refining the sales playbook and participate in team training sessions, including ongoing Sandler coaching.

  • Networking & Brand Representation

    • Represent TKG at industry events, webinars and local business gatherings to build brand awareness and generate new leads.

    • Establish meaningful relationships with influencers and decision-makers in the family-owned business community, positioning both yourself and TKG as trusted authorities in digital strategy and consulting.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Sales Methodology: Familiarity with the Sandler Sales methodology or a comparable consultative selling framework is highly preferred. Candidates should be comfortable using a structured sales approach centered on providing value and building long-term trust. Sandler training or certification is a strong plus.
  • Hunter Mentality: A proactive and self-motivated approach to business development. You should be confident in cold outreach, networking and creating opportunities from scratch. Success in this role requires resilience, creativity and a strong drive to connect with decision-makers.
  • Consultative Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal abilities, with the capability to engage confidently with business owners, CEOs and senior executives. You must demonstrate active listening, ask meaningful questions and deliver tailored recommendations that address real business challenges. Skilled negotiators who seek mutually beneficial outcomes are encouraged to apply.
  • Industry Knowledge: A working knowledge of digital marketing principles including web design, SEO, content strategy and online advertising is important. A willingness to deepen your understanding of TKG’s offerings and how they bring value to mid-market clients is expected.
  • CRM and Technical Proficiency: Comfortable using CRM platforms to manage opportunities and pipeline activity. Experience with HubSpot CRM is a strong advantage. You should be disciplined in maintaining accurate records and using data to guide sales efforts. Familiarity with tools like Microsoft Office and Google Workspace is also important.
  • Organization and Self-Management: Excellent organizational and time management skills are essential. You must be able to manage multiple opportunities, follow up consistently and advance deals through each stage of the sales process. This hybrid role requires the ability to work independently and maintain productivity across remote and in-office settings.
  • Education: A bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field is preferred. Equivalent professional experience in a relevant industry will also be considered.
  • Cultural Fit: Alignment with TKG’s values of excellence, integrity and partnership is essential. We’re looking for individuals who are collaborative, people-focused and honest—who also understand the importance of work-life balance and enjoy building meaningful client relationships in a supportive, family-first culture.
