Client Strategy Lead.

About this position

As a Client Strategy Lead (CSL), you will serve as a strategic leader and trusted advisor to both prospective and existing clients, playing a critical role in driving business growth and client success. This position blends consultative leadership, strategic thinking and performance accountability within a fast-paced agency environment.

On the Pitch Team, you will be instrumental in winning new business, partnering closely with the Creative Director to develop and present high-impact digital strategies that clearly align to client goals, KPIs and ROI. You will translate complex marketing concepts into compelling narratives that inspire confidence and drive decisions.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Act as a trusted advisor to clients, guiding strategic direction and influencing key business decisions
  • Lead the development of comprehensive digital marketing strategies aligned with client goals and growth objectives
  • Oversee strategy execution to ensure alignment with intended outcomes and measurable success
  • Co-lead pitch efforts alongside the Creative Director to secure new business
  • Develop and deliver persuasive, insight-driven presentations tailored to prospective clients
  • Translate data, research and strategy into clear, compelling business cases focused on ROI and KPIs
  • Partner with Creative, Development and Account teams to prioritize and execute strategic initiatives
  • Provide clear direction through project briefs and collaborate with Project Managers to ensure seamless delivery
  • Lead internal review and approval processes to ensure all deliverables meet strategic intent and client expectations
  • Own performance outcomes by monitoring KPIs, ROI and campaign effectiveness
  • Analyze data to generate insights and continuously optimize strategies for improved results
  • Prepare and present performance reports and strategic recommendations to clients
  • Identify opportunities to expand client engagements, increase wallet share and support renewals
  • Lead client meetings focused on performance, strategy and future opportunities
  • Evaluate client satisfaction and relationship health (“heartbeat”), partnering with Account and Project Managers to proactively address risks
  • Stay ahead of digital marketing trends and emerging technologies
  • Continuously bring innovative ideas and new opportunities into client strategies

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

  • Strong expertise across digital marketing channels: SEO, Paid Media, Marketing Automation, Social, Content and Web Development
  • Exceptional presentation and storytelling skills, with the ability to simplify complex concepts
  • High emotional intelligence with the ability to “read the room” and adapt communication style
  • Strategic thinker with strong analytical and decision-making capabilities
  • Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative agency environment
  • Hands-on experience with marketing automation tools, ad platforms, CMS and social media platforms

EXPERIENCE

  • 5+ years of demonstrated success in digital marketing strategy, client leadership, campaign execution and pitch presentations. Management is a plus.
