NORTH CANTON, OH (Jan. 26, 2016) – The Karcher Group today announced it has acquired Vertex CrossMedia, a video and motion graphics agency based in Canton, OH.
The merger was completed as of January 19th and all former Vertex clients are currently in the process of being transitioned to TKG. The acquisition brings video, motion graphics, 3D and brand strategy all under one roof at TKG.
“We’re not just a web shop anymore. This move, along with some additional changes we’ve been making, continues to position TKG as a full service digital partner,” said Geoff Karcher, president of The Karcher Group. “While we’ve had success working with outside partners in these areas, adding the talent and resources in-house rounds out our capabilities in a fantastic way.”
Karcher said the new services will be integrated into the overall marketing strategies currently used for clients. TKG uses an integrated approach to marketing allowing all tactics to be strategically tied to ROI.
“Properly leveraged video can substantially impact conversion rates – by as much as 30 percent,” Karcher said. “These are services we’ve provided through the use of outside vendors in the past, but now we’ll have top-notch capabilities in-house. Video and motion graphics allow us to tell brand stories in a very engaging way for our clients.”
TKG was founded by Karcher in 1997 and has grown into a full service digital agency, specializing in online marketing, web development and data services. Managed services were also added in 2015 under a merger with Ossa Technology Solutions. The Vertex acquisition provides further capabilities in branding, video, motion graphics and 3D.
Daniel Kelly started Vertex CrossMedia in 2012 with a focus on providing creative digital solutions based on careful research and breakthrough strategy.
“I’m proud of the work we’ve done at Vertex and know that the merger with The Karcher Group will be a positive move for each of us,” Kelly said. “TKG has great reputation for both understanding a client’s business and creating excellent work and I’m excited to join the team and get started.”
As a part of the acquisition, Kelly has joined TKG as Video and Motion Graphics Strategist. Vertex Media Specialist Matt McComb has also joined the TKG team as Motion Graphics Specialist. Both have extensive experience in video, 3D and motion graphics. Both are overseeing the transition of all Vertex clients and services to TKG.
“Their work is very impressive,” Karcher said. “We are thrilled to add these services to our offerings at TKG and look forward to the considerable opportunities to come.”
