Dirk has a pretty storied background. No, seriously, like 4 books worth of stories. That's because Dirk is the author of a series of New York Times bestsellers depicting his life in Major League Baseball. Oh, yeah, did we mention he played Major League baseball? Well he did, which, combined with the books got him a role doing television and broadcasting for TBS during the 2013 post season, ESPN, TSN, Rogers SportsNet... Okay, you get it, he's done a few things. Born right here in Canton Ohio, Dirk is one of those rare kids that actually did what he said he'd some day do when he was all grown up. Now, with his first, second, and third career behind him, Dirk has carved out a niche for himself in digital marketing.
Where he gained his knowledge about digital marketing
Dirk got his start in marketing when he built his first website to promote his early blog content-- later to become the best selling Bullpen Gospels. From there, he learned website development, SEO, and social marketing as a function of being a (mini) sports personality with books to promote. Now he's a Google Certified, Hubspot Certified, Facebook Certified marketer with years of experience at startups, agencies, and major corporations. Additionally, Dirk is a proud Golden Flash holding two degrees from Kent State: Communications and an MBA.
