Brickhouse Direct
URL: www.brickhousedirect.comProduct: Jim Brickman’s marketing, promotion, and fulfillment company for musicians, authors, and artists
Campaign: Web Development, Programming, Content Management, Usability
Time Frame: October 2005-Present
Challenge:
Brickhouse Direct, a Cleveland-based marketing, e-commerce and fulfillment company founded by platinum-selling pianist and composer Jim Brickman, asked TKG to develop two things:
- A master content management system or “admin” that would allow Brickhouse Direct to create, launch, and manage multiple websites for its artists. These websites range from small e-brochure sites to full e-commerce applications with fan communities, video blogs, downloads, and more.
- An online inventory management system that would track and report on merchandise for both online and concert sales.
Results:
Essentially, we built Brickhouse an entire Web Application Development system with the ability to generate and manage other websites. The application also manages all merchandise inventory for artists, as well as fulfillment of products (i.e., t-shirts, CD’s, etc.) for both online and concert/event sales.
Since we first launched Brickhouse Direct in late 2005, it has grown from just one site (www.jimbrickman.com) to over 40 artists, authors, and more including Amy Grant, Michael W. Smith, Bebo Norman, and Frank Peretti.
This custom online application allows Brickhouse to set up new clients with professional, affordable websites in a matter of days instead of weeks or months as you would typically expect. Even better, our solution provides artists with a “one stop shop” to manage their inventory, online sales, and more – all from the admin section of their site.
