Dana Phillips email marketing strategist
Dana has the honor of being Geoff's first employee, going all the way back to December of 1997 when The Karcher Group was just a Packard Bell computer and some hand-me-down furniture in their parents' basement. These days, she's busy balancing her job with the demands of motherhood. She recently earned her Certificate of Completion of the eMarketing Association's Advanced Email Marketing Course. Her children, Reagan, Lauren and Spencer, are as good-natured as she is, so she's definitely doing a good job!
Dana designs and develops email marketing strategies for TKG and our clients, as well as oversees the production and coordination of content. Dana has an extensive background in web marketing -- in fact, she started doing SEO as early as 1998, when most people were just getting email! She also has experience in an ad agency setting (she worked at the Chicago-based ad agency DDB Matrix) and in programming/development.
When not at work, Dana's life revolves around:
- Her husband (Kevin), children (Reagan, Lauren & Spencer), and family
- Friends
- Shopping
- Vacationing
- Her newest hobby/addiction, scrapbooking!
Little Known Facts:
- Childhood nickname was "Boo Bear" (and still is!)
- She wanted to be a lawyer when she grew up (but nixed the idea when the folks said they wouldn't pay for law school.)
Where she gained experience and knowledge:
Dana majored in Marketing Management at University of Akron. At one point, she worked in Chicago for DDB Matrix, a company that measures the impact of advertising campaigns. Eventually, she moved back and became one of the Group's original crew members.
Favorite Places on the Web:
